lol what was your reaction? I know my first CD skip was with a bunch of friends in my basement, and I panicked!

At first I was confused because I had it all beatmatched. It was the track I was bringing in and it just went nuts in the middle of the mix. So I just cut the music real fast from both tracks and clicked to the next track on the cd and then took a couple bows to the crowd and everyone just laughed and enjoyed the rest of my set. :D

What kind of CDJs?

On my CDJ-1000s, Master Tempo causes tracks to skip all the damn time. Its always the same tracks, in the same spot, every time. With Master Tempo off, there is no problem.

I was actually using my duals. CDN25. :)

You seem to be taking well:)

Haha, yeah I mean it's no big deal. I figured it was bound to happen sooner or later. It's just music and I think if you show that you are able to control the situation, make light of it and then immediately start rocking the house again, people are gonna forget about it. Was funny because I was talking to one of the other djs after my set and he even said he didn't take notice to it. :)

I guess its not as bad as it is with vinyl. Bumping the table or lifting the wrong tone arm and everything goes silent.

it happened to me at one of my club nights for the first time

i was bringing in a track and the other one cut out so I just flicked the fader up on the one coming in and it happened to be during a breakdown before a rather good drop, and everyone thought I did it on purpose lol. not as convincing in the recording however
