but there's some risk.. what if it rains that night...
I think the best way of saving money and space is by staying at Sona.
But they gotta pug the hip hop room so we hear the same thing in both rooms. That means NO HIP HOP !!! Of course not everyone will be able to see Tiesto .. but at leats there's gonna be much much more room to dance ! |

| outside seems like a good idea, but we're talking june 8th here, nigh time temperatures dont reach above 15 degrees... I find that to be a little cold... outside events should take place in july or august... |

outside would be cool.. imagine tiesto dropping 'goldenscan - sunrise (dj tiesto mix)'... at sunride =)
honnestly having 'dusk to dawn' parties would be a f'n sweet thing to do over the summer. sorta like they do (used to) in the deserts in california.
also seeing how the party would pretty much end at dawn it would mean less drug abuse. (too bad Montreal has such short nights in the summer)
if by chance it were to rain, 514 could always move the party back to Sona..

It is Grand Prix weekend, after all.
Imagine if it was outside, near the circuit Gille Villeneuve (or La Ronde)...they could promote it alongside the F1 race. It just seems like there's alot of potential here, marketing and promotional wise.

I have a question concerning Tiesto... I read on another post on another thread about Tiesto's gatecrasher set on the 13th of april... I never really gave tiesto a chance because, well, i dont know why... can anyone recommend me any set that you think is his best or the one you like the best... so I don't change the focus of Happys thread,at the same time, post the venue you would like to see him play.. sorry happy if this causes a change of focus for your thread... :) :)

Tiesto live at energy 2000 is the best trance set i've ever heard.
try live at club eau 2nd anniversary and live at dutch dimension in 2001 and 2002 these are amazing |

| I dont know if they could get the rights, but what about Ile st helene outside party! Right beside the track, its grand prix weekend in all! That wouid be Paradise, lazers outside, Molson Center is cool, but I dont see them throwing three partys in a row there, so Maurice Richard arena, Cepsum, anywhere but please dont put tiesto at Sona! |

The event has to be in a place that can hold at least 2-3 times the amount of people that can be packed (and I mean packed like sardines)into sona. Seriously, I didnt enjoy the Sasha/Digweed show because you were barely able to breathe, let alone dance... I wasn't able to stay on the dance floor, to see both DJs spin, very long, had to go downstairs, and breathe...
The venue must be a place that can hold at least 4000-5000 people... I think palais des congres could be good, as well as the Molson Centre, but anywhere that can hold that amount of people... but PLEASE PLEASE not sona... its too small for such a DJ...
Also, if thats going to happen (having tiesto play at a big venue), it should be a long set, 6 hours for example... and also, do not destroy the night by having locals play, like XL (PLEASE DO NOT PUT XL THERE!! :eek: :eek: :eek: )...
If you have to put local talent to there, to be able to have the event at least last 8 hours (if tiesto won't play for 6 hours), then post who will play, and exact times they will play at, so that way I know exactly when to get there and when to leave (i'll only show for tiesto)...
