Vinyl shopping in Miami

Hey I'm coming down to Miami from Toronto in November and wondering if someone can tell me the best places to find good vinyl...........

i only know of 2 places in miami, both pretty decent though.
1) Grooveman located on Washington Ave on Miami Beach, around 15th st i believe. its right next to Madonna's (strip club, cant miss that). they usually got the newer vinyls from all the big labels, and some good white labels too. unfortunatly they've become a lot more about selling merchandise now. they used to have an entire wall just of vinyl, not its about 1/4th of the wall. :( but still, you will be able to find the newer vinyl there.
2) Uncle Sams located also on Washington Ave on Miami Beach, around 12th st. its not hard to find, its a pretty big store. they dont have a lot of newer vinyl but they sell loads of used vinyl and harder to find stuff. ive found some real gems there though. only thing i dont like about em is they organize everything by letters and by import and domestic, whereas Grooveman organizes their vinyl by genre.
they are by no means the best vinyl shops in the world, but if you're coming down, check em out. hope this helps. |
