The only time I've seen "CoolKid" respond is to a Tiesto, JP or any NY popular DJ thread, asking what outfit to wear...He doesn't know much about good EDM, where it's at, or where it's going, so just forget what he says and enjoy the show....
Case in point, he's trying to cop an ID for the Pacha 3 day Halloween pass, yet accusses Oakie of doing drugs...

The only thing I asked about was if there was a dress code and if I would be allowed in with sneakers. How does that have to do with me not knowing anything about EDM?
I don't need to get an id since I'll be attending all these events after 4. Yet again, this doesn't have to do anything with Oakie.
If you wanna troll, go head. The only thing I said was, he trainwrecks. I'm pretty sure that most of you will enjoy his set just as I did back in the day. |

Thread should be updated with KT's name atleast.
He's worth seeing more than Sandra Collins and Oakie.
I'd really love to go but Pacha freaking stinks as a club. |

I was curious so I listened to this set to see if going to Pacha would be worth if to see Kenneth alone being that it's my birthday and there isn't much else going on. I decided NOT. This set has so many skips in it I could not bear to listen to it.

Did you consider that maybe it was the specific recording of the set and not a reflection of my ability? Or maybe the radio station is was aired on? I havent played a vinyl in 2 years so i dont think that could be the problem.
To be honest, i tuned into my show while it aired on ETN last week while doing some emails and i noticed regular skipping through the 192kbps stream but when i switched over to the 128k stream it was fine...
I think the issue is more with the ETN 192k stream/or that certain mp3 bounce. If you dont like the tunes, fair enough, but i would hate for you to miss a fun night on a technical misunderstanding ;)
On that note, i cant wait for the Pacha event. We are doing 10 shows on that leg of the tour and i can honestly say this is the one i am most anticipating. Over the last few years I have been blessed with the opportunity to play just about every major city across North America, but for some reason i have not found my way to New York City. I cant imagine a more exciting situation to make my debut there.
For those that are curious, my understanding is that i will be opening for Sandra then closing after Paul. I relish nights like this because i am able to really explore different sounds. Deep and groovey early on and anything goes late night.
Again, "euphoria", I hope you dont let that bad stream be the judge on whether or not you come out. For everyone else, look forward to seeing you and hopefully making a lot of new freinds in New York

Ok...if that is truly the case....would it be too much to ask for you to post a recent set here without the skips so I can have something to compare against? Didn't mean to offend you but those on this board that know me can tell you that I don't just go to any and every party. I am very selective because I don't have the time to get out very often :P
P.S. New York is a very tough crowd in general so give it all you got ;) |

Yea, i will try to get a recent set linked up here in the next day.
I wasnt offended, just thought there was most likely a technical misunderstanding and would have hated for someone to be misled by something like that. :) |
