| My headphones died yesterday so I need new ones, any suggestions? I use them for ~3hours a day during my commute and at the gym so I need something that'll last but not cost me a ton. Plus it's harder to ignore the crazies on the train without headphones... |

earbuds are a good way to hear ringing in your ears for the rest of your life. earbuds on the train/bus and in the gym are a REALLY good way to hear ringing in your ears for the rest of your life.
get some off-ear wrap arounds. they don't look too gay. |

About $100, wonderful sound isolation. The wire tore open on my pair, judging from everyone else's experience with them, it appears i had an isolated incident.

if by 'earbuds,' you mean random plastic accessories that come with mp3 players, then yes. otherwise, no. |

I think I have pretty good hearing and have probably only heard ringing after being at a club with a bad sound system...I don't like wrap arounds because I always wear glasses to work and glasses plus wrap arounds hurt my head. I don't care what other people think in regards to how dumb I may or may not look listening to music. |

isolating earbuds equals lowered volume for audible listening pleasure
otherwise you'll crank that shizzle up like and idiot and go deaf indeed |

| I cannot stand earbuds. And they don't seem to fit into my ears. :( So I never use them. |

I like that you can remove one to answer a phone or whatever, but I didnt like mine comfort wise. I went and got some small sennheiser's PX200 for mp3 use.

Same. One of my ears has a bit more cartilage than the other so earbuds never seem to fit. |
