Looks impressive.

The Wii is overloaded with absolute , with 3rd parties porting over age old games and slapping ridiculously awful Wiimote controls in hopes of the gimmick making the game seem better. On top of that, none of the games have any depth, since the big N has this mentality that nobody wants to spend more than 15 minutes playing a game.

But Mario 64 took awhile to complete, so I hope the same can be said with this sucker.

Galaxy is THE reason I bought a Wii...It is the true successor to Mario 64. The game was scheduled to be released at the Wii launch but Miyamoto delayed it a year to make everything super polished. It's guaranteed to be AAAA quality. (yes 4 A's, lol) ;)

Of course we cannot forget the inevitably badass smash bros brawl! And Mario Kart will probably kick a few asses as well.

sweeet ..for 45 bones thats a deal n a half

This'll be game of the year ever since Brawl got delayed... Absolutely magical and extremely creative level design, this game will do for 3D platformers what Mario 3 did for 2D platformers.

So true. Looking at the reviews on various sites, the ratings are all over the place. 360 and ps3 have much more consistent ratings.

I really do want a Wii because, well I like nintendo's first part games. The only problem is that I love racings sims, and I have not seen a good one yet, for the Wii.

A racing sim will be hard to come by.

Nintendo is aiming for a simplistic approach for the Wii: they want to make it possible so that 3 year olds and 90 year olds can play the same game. Because of this, anything thats overly complicated or would take a long time to complete may never come to the Wii. A racing sim is more for an older demographic and tend to be very realistic and non-arcadey. The Wii is all about arcadey gameplay. In other words, doubtful you'll see a quality racing sim on the Wii any time soon.

I hate to come down so hard on Nintendo's system. Believe me, I appreciate Nintendo's efforts at making the industry more intuitive and taking it into a new direction. But at the same time, their over-simplification as alienated hardcore gamers and created a different category of console: novelty gimmick. If you look at sales charts, you'll notice some weird issues.

For instance, the PS3 version of Madden 08 sold something like 4 times more than the Wii version, and yet there are more than triple the amount of Wii's sold than PS3's. How does that work?

Also, the only games that have made the Top 10 consistently are Wii Sports and Wii Play. Wii Sports literally comes with the Wii, so that doesnt count. So that means one, budget game. Makes me think that people are buying the Wii not to enjoy its library, but so they can enjoy the motion controls. To do that, the consumer only needs about 1 or 2 games.
