Bills coming to Toronto

The Buffalo Bills are planning on bringing the NFL to TO. They are going to start with a preseason game in 2008, followed by a regular season game in 2009.
I believe that this is key to keeping the Bills in Buffalo beyond Ralph Wilson's lifetime. Buffalo lacks the corporate money to keep the Bills viable in Buffalo, so I am hoping this can lead to a decent revenue stream for my beloved Bills.

How about that game with Dallas a couple weeks back? lol jk jk I secretly wanted the Bills to win, just because it would've been such an upset.
I'm stoked about them playing here though. I'd definitely wanna go to one of their games, depending on who they play. |

If we get an NFL team here the fans will be rabid - me included.
We'll get one team and all of Canada will be cheering it. |

I doubt it. I can't see it having a lot of support out West. Toronto should never get an NFL team though, in my opinion. |

The only way the NFL will work in Canada is if the dollar stays where it is and you find some idiot who is willing to dish out the money to build a stadium.
The NFL coming to Toronto will be the end of the CFL and of the two games CFL is more exciting and more interesting IMO. |

I think the NFL would do amazing in Toronto.
Considering it's only an 8 game season I dont think we would have a problem.
Also, i don't think all of Canada would cheer for Toronto since most people have been NFL fans for as significant time and already have their favourite teams that they pull for.

I agree that the CFL is more exciting and interesting, but I am not a big fan of the small league. There isn't enough competition with 8 teams to keep it exciting. |

The hope here in Buffalo is not that the Bills will relocate to Toronto, but that a home game or two a year will be played there, thus bringing in fresh revenue streams.

Yeah I realize people would keep their usual faves - go Bears - but if they started doing well they'd get national support, including TV ratings. Canadians are very patriotic when it comes to sports. Look at the support for the Blue Jays in early 90's. Raptors when they go to the playoffs. Hell, we even cheer for (or play favorites with) American teams if they have more Canadian players.
A single Canadian NFL fanchise would get support if it was successful right off the bat - if not it's ed. |

There's not enough money with TV contracts for a Canadian team.
TV networks here are way too cheap compared to down south...
thus the failing of an NFL team in Canada.
Plus, an NFL team would cost over 1 billion$. |

| I think it will be good for the team. Anything that will help keep the Bills in Buffalo after Ralph Wilsons era, I'm supportive of. If it means having one home game played only an hour and a half north, then go for it. |
