has anyone here used Denon Cdjs? and how do they compare to other in the market right now? i know denons are costly but if any one of you have used them, please let me know if they have been reliable and if they are worth the purchase. also, what other CDjs would yuou guys recommend?

thanks in advance

in my experience, the denons are crap. for the price, i'd recommend a pioneer cdj-200, -800, -1000 or whatever is in your price range.

i own a pair of denon's. if you have the money get pioneer's, but lets face it, some of us can't afford the top of the line . they get the job done, i haven't had any problems with mine.

I have a pair of 200's and absolutely love them to death.

I have a pair of S1000s. The only problem, after a year of ownership is that the play button on one of the decks doesn't work well. Keep in mind that I bought them used though. I was going to get CDJ200 decks, but I got a kick ass deal on denon. Denon decks have a lower pitch resolution, but I think it's a good thing for beginners. It will teach you how to ride the pitch properly. I also like the feel of the platter more on denon than CDJ200 units.

i had a pair of dn-s 5000's and i hated the feel of them compared to the pioneers. I ended up losing some money selling them to get a pair of pio's.

I've never actually used Denon's for full dj'ing, but i messed around with them a bit. i don't like the rubber play/cue buttons on denons. I've used pioneer cdj 200's and 1000mk3's, and the metal buttons are far better. Pushing the rubber buttons is weird because your finger sort of falls side to side. hard to explain, but it's weird. Metal buttons feel more firm and responsive.
