The whole time, I was looking so forward to seeing Sander, but Adam Beyer stole the show, by far.

sander was alright, but he didn't play anything unique or special. he was good for about an hour or so.

but once beyer started, holy , i woke up again.

*edit* trent rocked it too.

does anyone know anything about that mixer??

is that used for his dvdj sets??
bas
He uses DVDJ's and I guess the SVM mixer for his DVDJ sets. Basically what he does is make every track into a music video burns them onto DVDs. Then the mixer mixes video the same way a regular mixer mixes audio.

I haven't seen Beyer play out in a LONG time, was he playing tons of minimal stuff or did he bang out a bunch of hard as nails techno?

To answer your questions, he banged it out HARD, but not like dave clarke or chris liebing hard. It was so perfect. The last time I saw Beyer, he was playing minimal, so that's what I was expecting from him last night, but wow, he suprised me.

I didn't realize how much I missed banging techno.

Had a blast!

trent cantrelle banged it the fck out!!!! had me and my friends dancing hard core from the beginning! then sander stepped up and took it from there. better set than friday. so much fun dancing with all my friends, there were about 15 of us right up front. it's always better at avalon with a big group. kinda gives you support in the crowd from the cracked out washers and crackheads that push through the crowd.

danced from about 11-4 am non stop. due to multiple dramas and people disbanning i missed most of adam's set which sucks b/c i was really looking forward to his set. what i heard was hard but i was pre-occupied trying to find people, etc! ugh, anyways, i'll catch him the next time he's in town. i left about 5 am b/c i had about 20 people heading over to my place for afterhours so i just took off. was a fun night with great music aside from some of the bull that transpired that evening.

great meeting you L.E.N. and thank you mike for the birthday present. wish you coulda been there to help me celebrate but we'll make up for it next weekend at prydz! great seeing all the other TA's as well.
sander continues to be a blast to dance to. i just wish the dj booth was set up a little different, sander is definitely one to entertain and you could barely see him above that high dj booth wall!
