I would be a bit interested in that... do you think that there is a position for someone with a four year BA Psychology degree or do you absolutely need a nursing background? Are the job tasks there mainly like those of PSW? |

I just saw this. Nursing tasks ALWAYS involve PSW tasks. At least, you should always be ready to do them.
But no, at this job I do the higher nursing skills. Assess the residents and tend to their medical needs, take orders from the doctor, fill out prescriptions, give medications, etc.
You have to have the nursing background to do that stuff. The reason I'm allowed to do it is because of my education so far, and most importantly because I have a credit in pharmacology. |
