I sort of consider 99% of american cars to be nothing more than overweight, wallowing things made by inbred baboons which spend their 8hrs a day belting a lump of raw metal into roughly a 'car shape'
I must admit I did have a look at an imported C4 today which had been done up nicely, a RHD conversion and considered it :o
(Then realised it's a dumb, noisy boy-car and kept looking at other things :p hehe)

Note: the Z06 was on runflats not street legal race compound tires and it was still 8 seconds faster than the best BMW had to offer :P.

The current Z06 gives you supercar power at a fraction of the cost of anything remotely as fast. The ZR-1 will be even more insane than that. Actually, what is most impressive is that the ing base model Corvette next year will have more power than the Z06 had when I looked at one back in 2001.

corvette = best bang for your buck when looking for a serious overall package. you get power, comfort, and handling without breaking the bank. for under 70k you can get the z06. the zr1 will be around 80-85 and it will smoke all the cars that are under 100k with the exception of maybe one or two cars.
d-res: the vette really doesnt handle like . if you think so then your driving a ed up one. they have a good weight distribution (52/48 iirc) but i will say the runflats dont perform well compared to regular tires. even still its a badass handling car. seen it handle stock quite well myself.

Seriously. My friends Z06 was a killing machine once he put on some sticky tires. Took to an autocross and there was only 3 cars faster and two were set up strctly for SCCA events( Ferrari 360/mazda rx7). My friend was in his daily driver.

The zonda F...looks almost the same. Very small differences.

Days after leaked images revealed Pagani's new Zonda R clubsport (that's a club we wouldn't mind getting hazed for), official word has come from the Italian supercar builder on its newest model. The track-only Zonda R will get a 750-hp (523 ft-lbs of torque) version of the Mercedes AMG-sourced, 7.3-liter V12 that produces 680 hp in the Zonda F clubsport (594 hp in the street model). It'll be 40 cm longer nose to tail, with a slightly longer wheelbase. More pics to come from the land of the midnight cheese products.
