personally I'm going all :rolleyes: over things like David Guetta being "better" than Danny Howells and like that but face it, the poll is worthless to start out with so I don't know what I was expecting. |

Personally I like Danny Howells style much better than David Guetta
but looking on the past year alone from a neutral industry standpoint I can see and agree why he would place higher
David Guetta has had more high profile gigs in the public eye, more residencies in relation to being a dj and promoting his own event, more artist collaborations, 2 artists album; with the way this poll is organized I'm not surprised he placed in the top 20. Plus several of his tracks are played daily on multiple stations around the world. That kind of exposure should place you fairly high on any poll. |

I can guarantee that Guetta hasn't had more residencies than Danny Howells ;)
Guetta's success comes from two things. 1 being his name, everyone remembers the David Guetta of old that exploded on the scene when the French house movement came along...same goes for Bob Sinclar. The 2nd is the fact that Guetta has 2 or 3 NEW productions that get played a ton on Radio 1, show up on those generic compilation cds, and get a lot of play in Ibiza and the more "cheesy" club nights (like Ministry of Sound or Gatecrasher).
Guetta's a fantastic producer that's had loads of success, but as DJ he's pretty subpar. Doesn't play anything new, sticks to a lot of his own (both new and old) productions. |

| I should probably rephrase that not so much more in terms of numbers, but kind of more relevant to how I started my previous post. I meant more recognized residencies in the public eye. Public meaning (not just people who listen to dance music). Overall even in other music scenes people have heard of David Guetta's parties a lot more than Danny Howell's. |

i disagree with you on that. that's like comparing apples with oranges. both pvd and digweed are very good at what they do, but they play different styles of music. pvd is the best trance dj and digweed is the best house dj, second only to sasha. i voted them as my top 3, and i think they deserve the spots they got. |
