DJ Mag "Spoiler" results confirmed fake. Read.

This was the response from DJMag upon seeing these results:

"We at DJMag are amused to see the reception to the reported "early" leak of the 2007 DJMag Top 100 Poll results that a user, who we have identified as Tom Yelland reported to a frequented dance music online forum earlier today. We can, without doubt confirm that these results are indeed a falsified list, and not are not concurrent with the results held in an sealed envelope at the DJMag London offices, which will be presented at the event tomorrow evening. We apologize for the confusion this mishap may have caused, and we can tell you, that you will have to wait until tomorrow to find the results. You cannot understand the pain and frustration that this has caused our staff, the DJs as a community who take part in our poll, and the voters who may never know the true outcome because they have relied on some "cheesehead reporting" from a second rate citizen who wants to undermine the true spirit of the DJMag Poll, thus spoiling it for everyone, whether the results are true or false. Again, we would apologize here, but we ask Mr. Yelland to apologize himself for reporting false information like this just to create a scene. That's all we have to say."

...so, I would say, yeah this is just a bunch of bollocks

Ahhh, this makes sense. I had heard from a good source that an unknown DJ from the Netherlands had cheated his way into the #9 position this year, but did not have time to confirm this before the "spoiler" results had been posted. I figured that my normally good source was wrong.

I am now anxiously awaiting the true results to see if my sources information is actually correct.

Still hope Diggers has the #3 spot, or higher :D

Ooh, sealed envelope.

Um, hate to disappoint you but Dj Mags circulation is only 10,000.

Shows how unimportant the magazine actually is.

You really believe this list? Armin @ #1 ?!?! Puuuhhhhlleeeeaaassseee! Yeah, the chics might think he is cute and all the bedroom DJs like him because he gets new tunes and plays them on his show every Thursday...but technically as a DJ, and a DJ that makes me want to dance, he is far from that. His sets don't show nearly the level of artistry of Sasha, I might say, and he is not a constant floor dropper like PVD....but yes, I can see how Armin would win a popularity contest. He IS POPULAR - yes, but I just don't think he's that "great" of a DJ. But ultimately, in the end, the DJMag poll is up to the voters, and if they voted Armin as #1, well, it's his time to shine. He hasn't been in the glow the coveted top spot yet.

Gosh, Dj mag can't help themselves, going out and "naming + shaming" people again.

They seem to have this compulsion to go around destroying people's names in public. I hope they got their facts right this time and don't need to print an article clearing Tom Yelland in their next issue.

Is it me.... or does this happen every year... someone goes and post a fake list a day before the actual list is announced?

Not disappointed at all, just thought their numbers were actually in accordance to their big mouths...so, once again:
