Is it possible to be an alcoholic without drinking every day?

I just come to the realization that I get excited everytime i get to drink these days.
since i drive to see my gf I don't usually get to drink until saturday, which is fine..but say we're gonna go to the bar or somthing, I get rather giddy and it is the highlight of my weekend.
"what did you do on the weekend brad?"
"got drunk at boston pizza! YAH! /hi-five" |

hah if that makes you an alcoholic, the entire student body of UMass are alcoholics
also, i drink most nights, but a beer or two, raaaaarely more |

If that makes you an alcoholic then I should be in rehab.
Most of us live for the week-end to go have some fun, dance and get boozed up.
We're just happy drunks...alcoholics go to meetings. |

| Nothing wrong with enjoying drinking. You should only be concerned if you can't stop and it becomes problematic. |
