it was tuesday? who was it that got raided around a month ago then? too many raids. :(
and yeah i knew they prohibited them but they were quite popular on many other trackers. as mentioned before the quality control was one reason i wanted to be a member there. never could get a damn invite though. |

one problem with a lot of things that are supposedly 192 are actually down converted 320's. i can say from my own experience that 192 straight from source is a bit more than just listenable. not saying its something that should ever be taken to the club but it doesnt sound horrid as a lot of people say. 320 is of course preferred for obvious reasons though.
oh and OiNK got raided about a month or so ago. it was all over everything. |
If you are listening on multi media speakers i'll agree,but on high quality monitors you can tell the difference as clear as night and day. |

One thing I always wanted to know was how the did OiNK manage to police the use of transcoding? Especially when they have so many files? What if they think you transcoded but you didn't?
Really, how did they do that? |

They opened the file in a program and did spectrum (spectral?) analysis. Certain frequencies would be cut out which would allow someone to tell whether or not its a transcode. |

as i said, its not something you should ever take to the club but its not horrid sounding. i CAN tell the difference on good multimedia speakers as well. |

dude transcodes are quite obvious. they sound like . the bass is so dead and mid is all really pronounced (wrong word but i dont know what else to use) and the vocals sound like they are ripped out and then layered back in. its just horrible. transcodes sound so bad. |
