hi im new on the forums, i've been listing EDM for about a year now and want to start djing. I would like to ask what people think of the stanton st8-80 turntable i want to play mainly trance.

for a boggo standard TT they're probably one of the better ones going around.
But just don't think they're going to be perfect or necessarily good.
Theres 2 schools of thought:
1. Get into djing with the money you have and buy cheaper stuff, learn the basics and decide whether or not you find it fun. The downside is you WILL have to upgrade once you start getting more and more into it (but sometimes thats part of the fun, good learning experience too in relation to what makes gear good)
2. Save more money and buy better stuff from the start, you won't have to spend more money upgrading later and you'll probably find it easier to learn quicker. However you will have to spend more money from the outset which might put off your plans for a while. |

| so yeah..i'd so go with option a of getting ty gear at first....i was the first person to start to DJ and get into trance. My friends think it was cool so they get into. They like EDM and all, so they spend like 4k on gear at the start...CDJ 800 xone 92 bad ass speakers..i dunno i forgeet..but then they hate it....but oh well they gave me there mixer so w/e...but yeah start with bad stuff....also b4 you go vinyl really REALLY think about..i went vinyl and loved it, but others might not. |
