ugh, the sound system will never be perfect anywhere... at least the high's weren't ear-piercing..rather have a phatty bass than needles in my ears...
besides... instead of ''listening'' to the tracks, just feel them ;) far more fun...:p |

| It is a gripe, but on the grand scheme of the nite it wasn't that significant. The whole night was awesome except for me missing the first 45 minutes of Blake's set. |

That's why I showed up at 8:45 cause I didn't have much interest in seeing Dekay and thought Blake came on after him. Oh well, I got to hear him play Mexico Can Wait and some other tunes I recognized but failed to ID so it was all good. Anyone know if he finished his set with Animal? |

| neutron liar |
| dunno if he finished with it, but it was near the end. |

the bass was horrible until Markus came on, and it sounded like they turned it down.
during AVB, pretty sure the Deadmau5 track was Aguru, and Re-ward - Ensure was played.
whatever track that was dropped after
SVD - Riff (Cox remix) vs Prodigy - SMBU
was huge and I wanna know what it was. This was near the end of the set. |
Hey wassup everyone!:eyespop: :eyespop:
I flew from Denver to Chicago to go to this show...totally worth the $50!!!. i cant believe some would be there locally and miss an ArmadaNight!!!
Blake Jarrell - Please gag me with a spoon and I will give him Two stars if that. He had a couple of tracks that was of course played out that everyone has heard before. too mellow to keep me interested.
Matthew Dekay - OMG...what an impressive start to the evening! I heard his guest set on Trance Around the World and was extremely impressed! His guest set last week was just about the same as the set I saw in chicago! He got everyone motivated and ON FIRE!!!
I wanted more...
Markus Schulz....well he came on strong! Yes, he impressed as always!! not as Trancy, but got in that mood to GET DOWN!!! It was his progressive style, but had such KICK to it that I was totally into his SET. Before I knew it though....
Armin Van Buuren...came on with a entry as only a #1 dj could!! Of course announcing his accomplishment simply got the entire crowd energized. Perhaps one word could describe Armin's live sets..."SHIVERS"! Yeah, I was totally happy when he played my fav track "The Sound of Goodbye" Remix version he just released by the DJ that slips my mind right now.
You know when I go out and have a good time, I can care less what the name of the next track would be...sorry not into naming the tracks when listening to sets. I just simply let go and have fun!
Armin was INCREDIBLE!! I was up front all evening and was next to Beto...It was cool that Armin recognized Beto right Away...AKA "Trancenation". I got some cool pix of the event itself and will be posting it later. |

Man, I thought Blake did a great job opening. To each their own I guess..... |
|

| DJCJUDGE |
| Was that his usual type stuff he plays? |
|
|
| neutron liar |
| yeah, he's got a really cool vibe to his stuff. just cuz he's not throwing down huge bass banging tunes and anthems all the time like AVB and the like, doesn't mean that he's not a great DJ. I mean, Markus played a more downtempo set...and ppl loved that? |
|
|
| Wraith |
| Tbh I thought Blake played a much better set than Dekay did. Towards the end of Dekay's set I found myself checking my watch more and more because I was getting bored with it. It just seemed like too much of the same sounding tunes. |
