First off, if you think I play ribcage just because dubfire made it, you're wrong, and secondly I use alot of unknown tracks as DJ tools along with it, and I've been doing that for a while, both on ableton and CDJs. I didn't know it was frowned upon to play with 3 decks every now and then. If I thought a track was "utterly ing worthless" I wouldnt use it as a tool either, obviously I see it as something interesting to use or alter within a mix. I understand your PoV but the insinuations are a little harsh :p

Lol, I think that was a little more generally directed than you took it, regardless, while DJ tools are all fine and well, there sure as hell seem to be a large number of tunes released (and played as) tracks that somehow escape being called out on the fact that they're utter trash because one bleep in them is pleasing for you (or anyone else) to loop for four minutes.

And the only thing I'm insinuating here is that it's getting to the point where people need to stop worrying about the process and start concerning themselves more with the end result.

Take hat however you want it.

Ribcage is a great track.
Kanzyani remix of Outhouse was really talked up, nowhere near as good as the original.
The deadmua5 stuff is ok, but not worthy of all the hype.
The Greg Donwey remix of Heaven Scent was hyped too but I thought it was fairly average.
Also, Tiesto - Ten Seconds Before Sunrise was garbage but heaps of people seemed to go crazy over it.
DJ Patski
Vincent De Moor - Fly Away

Don't get me wrong it's a cool track, but when nearly every trance DJ is whoring it out - gets old and very quick. Doesn't deserve all the hype it's gotten.
Venire
Menno De Jong - Nolthando

It deserves nothing.

I get what you're saying, regardless I'm still gonna keep playing what I like in whatever manner I enjoy.
Ricky Tan
Martin Buttrich - Hunted

I never heard of this track until last week. Am I out of the loop?

I think you mean the Greg Downey remix ;) and IMO is added absolutely nothing to the original. The only good thing about it being when you hear it being mixed in you won't expect it to be 'Heaven Scent' until the main synth line kicks in, and at that moment it's massive. When it stands alone, however it's pretty

That hype must've passed me bye. I can't imagine this made enough hype to make this list. Anyway, i think it's a good remix which ad something else to the track, even if it's far from as good as the original.
