what are some of the things you would need to start a radiostation ,
like registring a frequency , legal problems and other stuff .
does anyone know how much money it would be to start , because in next 20 years if I have enough money I would like to have one , hehe
106.6 The "E" , thats what I would call it , ohh well whatever ,a man has the right to dream right ?

of course if you wanted to run a pirate station it would be a lot cheaper cus you dont have to pay for a license ;)
you need a huge transmitter and a lot of electricity, thats all i know |

There is a plug in to winamp its called shoutcast or something like that.. so you can broadcast through internet whatever your soundcard
plays... all you need is a server. but I guess thats not what you are talkin about |

depending on where u live....you'd definitely have to goto your city hall and ask about making a radio station.
Another way of finding out how to do this is to talk to someone at one of your local commercial radio stations... they'll tell you how to start but not how to be big... but that's all a given.
you'd need almost an unlimited music library of (to be legal) un-pirated trax.
and other stuff u'd need:
-lots of money
-transmitting license
-a transmitting dish or antenna
-some money
-a studio setup (for playing music)
-enough cash to make a big advertisement campaign |

| i'm sure that you would be able to get lots of sponsors and donations from electornic music lovers in the area, so money would be lesser of a problem. and since it would be the only station that plays that type of music, it would certainly become popular very quickly. so you need sponsors! :) |

| If you live in Canada you must deal with the CRTC. They have strict regulations including a law that 35% of content must be Canadian. |

yeah I know that 30 % canadian music rule sux , but one day ....
but what about being partner with some radio stations and ask them to give you certain hours for your own program so you can mix the music . you know start off with hours from like lets say 11 pm - 4 am
or something like that then slowly evolve from there .
I know not alot of people listen to music at that time on the radio but who cares you have to start somewhere .
:D |
