Mixing !!!

I've always wanted to find out some good mixing albums and livesets that i havent heard or noticed !! Here are my questions !!!
1. What is the best mixing album to you?
2. What is the best mixing liveset to you?
3. Who do u think has best mixing skill?

Note - These questions only involved with MIXING !! I m not talking about the tune selections, quality of album/liveset/ DJ here !! Just MIXING (Espacially Beat/phrase matching )

My answer would be :
1. Max Graham - Transport 4 ( Also my fav album all the time )
2. Dj Tiesto - Trance energy 2000 ( there are few good uplifting tunes that arent easy to mix but Tiesto proved that he can mix in this set )
3. Sasha (Even tho he is always high and ed up, his mixing is always the way it should be !! )
plastikE
1. DJ Tiesto - ISOS2
2. Paul Van Dyk - Live @ Rosenmontags Rave (02)
3. Johan Gielen (great mixer....but I feel PvD comes close :D:D:D)

just my opinion
Great Outdoors
Sasha. Period. :)

1: Tough one, Tiësto's Magik 7 isnt all that bad tho.
2: Westbam's gig at Rosenmontag 2002 (before PVD) is to me reeaaaally good, so pumping. Maybe not so much beatmatching in the sense that you hear every beat and therefor hear every beat that might go wrong but MAN can that man scratch! The energy is just flowing from the trackselection and then he comes along and scratches the out of me. :D (Dave Clarke's Essential MiX isnt all that bad either, or PVDs Rosenmontag ;) )
3: Oakenfold is skilled, but not as fun to listen to as Sasha, PVD, Tiësto or Scott Bond.
Biohazard
gielen cant mix, and never will

Sasha is the worlds best mixer IMO
TranceSeeker
1) all northern exposure cds
2) Paul Okenfold - live at home in Space Ibiza 99
3) James Holden is the best mixer, together with sasha I think,
and also John Fleming.....:)

If you want to laugh: DL the set from Jean @TE 16-02-02. What was he thinking?

I think AvB has good mixing skills, but they all have that, otherwise they weren't so popular.
Best CD = Magik 6
SmellsExcellent
carl cox is an AMAZING mixer... just amazing.. sasha as well.. ive seen them both recently and both in their own genre are top notch. DAMN!

Yeah!! If you wanna hear the worlds baddest professional DJ check out stuff from DJ Jean, especially his last TE set. Check his PPK versus Oing Diggi Dong mix!!! LOL!!!

IMO DJ Tiesto has great skills and Marco V kicks ass! Don't know the perfect cd, there are so many! And usually these cd's aren't live mixed so imo you can't judge a DJ on his skills by his cd's.

greetz!

HAHAHA! Yeas indeed. When i was hearing it live broadcasted from internet i couldnt believe it, and though that the broadcast was changing stages or something. But then i realised how y this man is. He is just "pressing the play button" when the previus track is over. How did he made it to be a wellknown DJ ,really?

Well, DJ Jeans gig at TE 2002 was crappy but other gigs he have done has been good, at Club Eau (22/04/00) for example is really good.

His performance at Hyperstate 2000 isnt all that bad either, or TE 2000.

So, I guess he was just reaaaaaally high that night. :P

What is the best mixed album? Thats a good question, since most CDs/albums were mixed in "Pro tools". I'll have to agree all the Northern Exposure and Global Underground mixes are mixed to perfection.
What is the best mixed live set? I advise all you true trance addicts to catch a set by Florida's DJ Suzy Solar someday. In fact try this epic trance one from Halloween 2000 http://www.suzysolar.com/music/shining.ram or this hard/melodic trance one from May 2001 http://suzysolar.com/music/maydemo.ram
Who has the best mixing skills? My vote goes to Digweed.
