Okay Ive been DJ'ing for a while now and my mixing technique is okay but there is something I lack and it would improve me so much if I knew this! I have no real experience playing guitar or keyboard drums etc so this might be hard for me to understand but I am willing to learn.
Some records mix into others very nicely and I understand this is because it in the same KEY or one close to it.
My Question? How do I know which KEY a record is? More importantly how can I learn KEYS so I can write the KEY on each record and hopefully improve my mixing and set structure?
Youe help is very much appreiciated!

Go to Mixing tips and read the full harmonic mixing chapter. I don't have time to explain it completely myself, but the djprince site should het you started.
Believe me, you're gonna have MUCH fun with harmonic mixing :) |

| My mom always said that taking piano lessons for 7 years would pay off... I thank her now that I am learning to DJ on TT's. |
