First of all I would like to say hello to everyone and mention that this is my first post here on TA. New to the site but not the music.
My main reason for signing up is to ask a question of anyone who has been to Bleu in Detroit. I was thinking about going down next Thursday night to see the almighty Armin. Does anyone have any idea of how long he would play this night and what kind of atmosphere it is in the D-town?
I'm figuring the Windsor TA crowd could help with this, and probably will be going, so was looking for some help/answers and any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help in answering these questions. See all the TOTA's at one of the many great events in the dot this month.
Cheers:) |

Welcome to TA... U'll find out soon that most people on here are jerks or computer nerds who like to pick on others :whip:
Bleu is a nice club... smaller venue
I have been there 10 times probably
The crowd was normally ok.... but sometimes it seemed like everyone knew each other and I was an outcast. Other times I met some cool people and had fun.
Armin probably will only play for 2 hours.
The clubs close early in Detroit (2-3am)... from what I remember
Buy your ticket in advance (of course)
Personally I would drive any further than 2 hours to go to Bleu for one night (to short of a night).
Have fun |

first off..welcome and enjoy your stay!
bleu is alright. venue is an old theatre with the dj booth on the second floor. crowd, to my experience, has been fine. more of a drinking crowd, which comes with pluses and minuses. As said, club does close very early...and on the dot. there is often an afterparty at the Works..which Armin has been known to show up at. Still, if you are driving from TO, its a long way to go for a 3 hour party. Unless you are a diehard Armin fan, or have other reasons for going to Windsor/Detroit..I wouldn't bother |
