Has anyone ever used these for DJ purposes? are they any good for that or are they simply street headphones? I listened to a pair of them today and the sound was nice, good bass and clarity, but i'm wondering how they'd be plugged into a mixer.

My fried had a pair of these. They look nice, and are OK for home listening, but not for mixing.

Your headphones are really important. Invest in a good pair now instead of wasting money on something you'll want to replace later.

I was doing an instore gig for Burberry and my headphones broke there was a Zumies next door and I bought a 50 dollar pair the snow camo ones. There not really for DJing but they served their purpose for the gig.

They do look cool, construction could be a little more solid. I mainly use them now with my laptop and Ipod when I am traveling.

so bottom line, skull candy sucks for monitoring...? i've also noticed via reviews and discussions that any headphone under $100 is no good. *sigh* this is one expensive ass hobby.

even more so if your a vinyl DJ, but thats for another time...but yeah so i went through 5 pairs of headphones this week. I always have two pairs. One ear bud oens for running and school and a DJ pair. My friend stepped on my DJ pair, so he has to buy me some new ones, one pair of ear bud ones the wires got pulled loose, and same with the 2nd pair..just bought a nother pair today at rite aid but they were really uncomfortable so i bought another pair for like 5 and they sound so bad its a joke..might have to buy a 6th

Ugh...I'm not sure I would shop at Rite Aid for music gear.

Ha ha

I don't think you qualify to give out decent advice on purchasing headphones.
