It's a great opportunity for those producers who don't have the musical chops to make uplifting trance

Uplifting trance "dying" ? I thought it died years ago.

IMO everything since 2003-2004 has sucked ass. Hard.

produce what you like and want to produce. if the label doesnt like it try another label.

Uplifting trance is sadly on the way out, Ferry himself told me that we all need to do something new. I recommend you guys to try new sounds, progressive trance, progressive house (have a listen to Deadmou5 for instance) and have fun experimenting. Of course electro-house and house is always in.

great. those getting bored of deadmau5's good but market saturating productions can now look forward to a host of copycat releases from artists who dont understand the genre. shouldnt a label based in uplifting trance stick with it? maybe re-invent its genre into something fresh? uplifting trance as a big money earner (for anyone other than armin) died ages ago, why stop now for the sake of a few extra bucks?

if the label doesnt want to continue with your genre then its time to find another label.

Just because Ferry doesn't like and doesn't produce uplifting trance anymore doesn't mean it's on the way out.. No wonder I haven't bought one of his remixes or records since like Ligaya back in 2000 or 2001... I thought Digital Punk was a neat electro song but I knew it was a sell out jam...now I know why I haven't anything new from Ferry....I almost want you to tell him I said Off for me....

hahahahahahaa:haha:

yeah i find it stupid too. But i don't understand why. Emotive Sounds has Emotive Vibes now and that sublabel is just all trance. Bleh i'm working on new stuff atm and i think im just going to go for other labels.

All its going to take is some quality tunes to hit. and echosystm is right.. what the fuck happened to the quality after around 2004.

The market is saturated with pvd on steroids tracks at the minute (142 bpm "trancers" with that massive kick drum), that arent as much focused on the melody as they are on other elements (production, basslines, etc)which i find is a key fundamental in uplifting music in general.

Bring the good melody back.. we need M.I.K.E to give up that hes writing at the moment and come back to the masses :D

Not only is it PVD on steroids but don't get me wrong I really like Max Graham and Andy Moor but that sidechain baseline is getting a little old. It was cool in 2004 and early 2005 but it's still going on.
