No. Dirty house was first used to describe the style emulated by Peace Division's dark, dirty, nasty that you'd only hear at the Zone on a Sunday morning. Tracks that you didn't feel right listening to if you weren't there.
Tracks like "Wherever The Drums", their remix of "This Beat Is", years before the Zone became the daycare center that it is today, long before late 2004-early 2005 when electro house came into fruition. |

OK, I don't even know where to begin with this. Not only is it nonsensical and racially prejudiced, but it's not even true. "Dirty" as drug and sex slang was around long before the ghetto retards ever picked up on it. The mind-bogglingly stupid version of "dirty" that's now used to mean "cool" only seems to be really popular with white yuppie posers trying to sound ghetto during their breaks between status reports. And it still doesn't make any sense with respect to the way people use it to describe music.
If actual ghetto kids ever used the word "dirty" this way, it was probably as a joke to see just how dumb the ghetto-wannabes would act in order to imitate their idols.
But maybe you're actually using the word "ghetto" to mean "insufferable pricks with for brains" - if that's the case then I will voice my absolute whole-hearted agreement. |
