I don't see how it's popular.. I haven't heard it in a club yet.. it's just that there's been a lot of talk about it in the trance circles, but as long as it doesn't go on radio or something of that sort (like Rapture) it's all good. It's a good track. But.. toooooo much talk, too many threads..

I am sorry, but this track DOES NOT belong in a club. There is no way that I want to hear this in a club, unless it is in the chillout area and the are playing the Solar Stone Chillout mix...

Really, this is not a club track.(<

There's been a dozen threads about these lyrics... There are two versions of them, that's correct... There are 2 versions of the Tiësto remix, with different lyrics. The one from the Dutch Dimension set is said to be the In Search Of Sunrise Remix.

These are the lyrics of the official promo release:

Piece by piece
I release.
Once was mine
now undone.
Turn blue like New
Orleans.
And went down like
the southern sun.

I still feel you
beneath my skin.
I am tempted
to throw myself to sea.

'Cause it's easier to fly
than to face another night of southern sun.
And your love is all around.

Piece by piece
I release.
Once was mine
now undone.
Turn blue like New
Orleans.
And went down like
the southern sun.

I still feel you
beneath my skin.
I am tempted
to throw myself to sea.

'Cause it's easier to fly
than to face another night of southern sun.
And your love is all around
and in the end you'll set me free.

You last like a song undeflated
I am pieces on the wind unrelated.

I still feel you
beneath my skin.
I am tempted
to throw myself to sea.

'Cause it's easier to fly
than to face another night of southern sun.
And your love is all around
and in the end you'll set me free.

'Cause it's easier to fly
and in the end you'll set me free.

In the ISOS version this is what's different:

'Cause it's easier to fly
than to face the way of this insanity.
And the truth comes back around
in the end you're not for me.

So you'll be hearing these in the Dutch Dimension set...

In the official promo release of the Solar Stone Chill Out Mix they used both versions of the lyrics.

You can hear the vocals best in the Solar Stone and G&D mixes I think...

I hope this clears things up...

I dug this up from an old thread. Explains the lyrics. Nice job by Cobalt.

The song is about a woman who cannot let go of her past relationship and still feels the pain of lost love within herself. The setting "southern sun" is a metaphor for her sadness. She cannot face another night of the "southern sun" because she cannot endure the sleepless nights of mourning lost love. She contemplates suicide, "flying" into the sea, as an escape to her misery. It's really a very beautiful song.

deep.... this song is a good song, but you have to be in the mood for it

thanks eieregooie, I have the ISOS version, clears a lot of things up.

Aren't the two versions of the chorus a bit too contradictory to put in the same song (Chillout version).
In one she seems to still have hope that she can receive his love again, while in the other, she's accepted that they are not right for each other and cannot be together...
Unless she realises this while singing the song... :conf:
