A guestion for Firefox users.

One of the only things holding me back from using Firefox on a regular basis is the fact that in Windows XP, when I'm browsing a file folder and decide to type a URL into the address bar, IE launches by default. I've set the 'program access and defaults' to enable Firefox and not IE.
Is it possible to set Firefox to launch seamlessly from an address bar in file folder window?
I think this question has been asked previously on this forum but I couldn't find it :P |

| I'm betting on "no", because Windows Explorer uses the same underlying engine as Internet Explorer. |

no
but in firefox you can just type a word and it will take you to a website, for example try "tranceaddict" |

| i don't mind if FF launches in a different window. it's just annoying how IE6 launches from the address bar (and isn't customized like FF is) |
