So in between remix-work and school, I've been trying to get a couple originals done. This one is an odd little housey number. I wanted to get some quick general opinions on it before I take it down. I know the melody is odd, but I did it on purpose. Anyway, the link is posted below:

Quality is great.
The harmony at the beginning of the breakdown was unexpected and works quite well... until the 3rd harmony comes in at about 1:35 and hits something completely sour at 1:38. It's as though you need to choose one or the other, since they both seem to work with the original bassline, but not with each other. 1:46/1:47... that's a nice sounding moment, all together. :)
3:05 section is pretty cool. Some wierd harmony here, but it's just fine since it's a moving pattern. That, I quite enjoy. :)
I really do enjoy the overall sound, a bit dark, yet it upliftingly moves along. Good luck with this one! |
