Naw I totally agree with that. Theyre clean, they brush their teeth, they can cook, and they bring hot men over. What more could you ask for? :) |

Bobby, the roommate in question is 27 and otherwise "normal." He just does these random stupid irresponsible things sometimes. |

Climate dynamics. Specifically Im looking at whether changes in the atmosphere contributed at all to a change in the meridional overturning circulation in the mid 1990's.

Thanks for providing that link. I am sitting here laughing so hard I have tears streaming down my face.
Some great quotes from that thread:
"It also makes me wonder how it is that Jed never hid in the bushes, waiting for you to come home in order to ambush you, so he could demand to use your bathroom."
"So where was Jed when he wasn't at home playing his crapophone in his feces lasagna? I think someone else would notice that he reeks of poo poo and piss and mold and such, yesno?"
"He actually sometimes s off his balcony."
"Are you sure you don't have a dissociative disorder and and Jed isn't one of your hosed up multiple personalities that goes nuts and flings poo poo everywhere? This is a genuine question."
That thread may be the thread of all threads. I think it might even beat the c0r's threads. |

Interesting stuff. I had to look up what meridional overturning circulation means on wikipeida. o-o
So are you trying to link human abuse of natural resources to the changes in atmosphere and ultimately to the changes in MOC ? |

that does suck. i've had that happen in multiple instances in the past with multiple groups of roommates. what sucks even more was there were many times when i was the only person who liked to cook, so i would cook for all of us, and they eat most of the food i cook, while i don't get much. :(
i learned my lesson. in the beginning, i used to leave the food in the pot. later, i took out whatever number of bowls(however number of roommates i had), and distributed all the food evenly between the bowls. |

Not directly, no. Although Im a strong proponent of anthropogenic global warming, my research can only say whether or not changes in the atmosphere (temperature, radiation, storm tracks, increased snowfall rates) have contributed to a change in the currents in the Labrador Sea, which control how much deep water formation occurs there.
Honestly, there's not a lot of cut-throat research going on in "global warming" right now. The research has already been done. We know it's happening. We (as a science community) are just waiting for the rest of the world to catch up. |
