Finally back and somewhat recovered from Manila. Played 2 crazy shows @ Decagon and Embassy. :eyes: The people were great, the clubs were beautiful, and it's too bad I didn't have more time to spend there but looks like I'll be back quite soon. :)
Thanks for the support from the INCOGNITO guys. Many of the people in Manila spoke very highly of them.
I'd also like to add that Manila had some of the strongest resident DJs I've ever seen. Their mixing was spot on, programming on point, great track selection and all around great guys. I'd love to see some of them get out of Manila and play some shows in the states. Easier said than done but they definitely have the potential!
We were able to record the sets and once we get them up, I'll post the links here.
I got quite sick when I got back and am still pretty ed so don't think the recordings will go up til next week.
I'll try to post some pics and vids as well.
:D

Glad to hear that you had a great time in Manila. I agree with your observation about the local DJ's there. There's a great number of musicians in Manila specially in the Live Band arena. Once the local DJs get more time with the new technology available today, I expect a lot of great productions coming out of there.
Hope you get well soon. |

Just to clarify some items...
...a couple of DJ's from the Philippines have already been signed up by European labels even as far back as before 2000...one is actually touring Europe now...
...please note that INCOGNITO has actually gotten DJ's, not only from Manila, but from a few other places as well...this friday, the DJ lineup is from Germany and LA...
...at the end of the day, we will continually strive to be all about quality EDM and we sincerely appreciate the support from those that decide to turn INCOGNITO every so often, be it in this country or the next.
Cheers! |
