Ok so I've been doing a lot of mixing and stuff.
I use FL Studio, Reason, Sony Sound Forge, Cakewalk SONAR 7, M-Audio pro tools M-Powered, and a bunch more software based sound generators. What I want to do is get some vocals, I have a 8-Channel Peavey XRD 680 power mixer.
So the question is what equipment is necessary to record and transfer production quality sound to my computer for editing. Mics, mixers, anything to get me what I want. Thanks. |

don't record your vocals at home man... that's one of the toughest things to do in music.
bring your vocalist in, write your lyrics, figure out all the subtleties, attitudes, etc... then go spend time in a proper studio for an hour or two.
trust me on this, i've made this mistake before |
