| He may have been suffering from a seizure induced by alcohol. Many people who are not epileptic (sp?) can experience mild seizures from binge drinking. It may not be a total seizure where the body convulses; instead it can be mild enough where the person no longer is aware of what heshe is doing however still can function and 'seems' as if heshe is actually conscious/coherent. |

There are two basic types: partial and generalised. If the excessive electrical discharge in the brain is limited to one area, the seizure is partial. If the whole brain is involved, it is generalized.
Partial seizures (formerly known as focal seizures) are often referred to a simple partial. During this type of seizure the person can experience a range of strange or unusual sensations including sudden, jerky movements of one body part, distortions in hearing or seeing, stomach discomfort, or a sudden sense of fear. Consciousness is not impaired.
Complex-partial seizures (formerly psychomotor or temporal lobe Epilepsy) are characterized by a complicated motor act involving impaired consciousness. During the seizure the patient appears dazed and confused. Purposeless behaviours such as random walking,
mumbling, head turning, or pulling at clothing may be observed.
Generalized absence seizures (formerly petit mal) are characterized by 5 to 15 second lapses in consciousness. During this time the patient appears to be staring into space and the eyes may roll upwards. Absences are not preceded by an aura and activity can be resumed immediately afterwards.

lol. kinda reminds me of last night.
im taking a nap and i wake up to lots of banging and cops yelling. im confused and since the voices and banging is so loud, i think its for me at first.. i soon realize it isnt and i look out my window. there are 3 cop cars in my parking lot. so i keep listening and i pick out words "this is the city police. open up" "we received a 911 call from a woman and shes no longer answering" im thinking oh ...
then suddenly the voices of cops go to outside my door where my building manager lives across the hall. then i hear them saying "you match the description..." "we were told you hit a woman" "how much have you had to drink tonight" "your van is pretty busted up" (apparently he was drinking and driving, the whole front of his van is crushed in)
then one of the cops knock on my door and question me about my building manager. i answer the questions and close my door. then i hear the cops saying "stop lying to us, youre trying to deeceive us.." and then i hear cuffs clickin and i see him getting led out and put into the car.
crazy night |

I like it :D
It's good to learn something new - even though with my education, I should've probably known it already (at least the info in his second post) - well, but I didn't, at least not in these particular details. Zentac is knowledgeable ;) |
