An era is nothing more than a immeasurable chronological high point in time James..The only era you know anything about is an earned run average... |

an era is a length of time, usually of the highest order of time, starting from a single point. it is not a single point or even a high point. for example, anno domini (aka the common era) is a well known era we are all familiar with.
although i will admit i do know earned run averages better than eras in time. |
