I need some help on Pitched Snare Rolls! The software i use for drums is Reason 3.0.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSKlZ2QBmpA I want to do what this guy did but in Reason 3.0! can it be done?

i don't even use reason, but i'm going to guess theres two ways:

1. the reason drum sampler has a pitch knob. automate it.
2. alternatively, load the snare sample into one of the other samplers; the ones you use for instruments.

i did that in redrum but it dont have that feel and it dont sound right can some one make a reason song file showing me how to get the drum roll that sound like the ones off the youtube video! or the i have to get fl studio? :(

Do this...
The process will be identical to FL.

or you could wak a redrum in a combinator, then add a malstrom for modulation only using its lfo's or envelopes.

first you have to go into the combinator programmer and assign the redrum pitch knob to a combinator rotary or direct to the pitch cv in that redrum channel. important to set the right pitch amount you want.

ill try that! :)

wtf kind of recommendation is that? :wtf:

Dude, just load it into NNXT or NN-19 or whatever and draw the notes in the piano roll... Like I said in the first post.

Jesus... I don't even use Reason. :stongue:

well i do use reason and i know what im talking about, i was just trying to give something abit different than a normal pitched snare roll. using lfo's to modulate the pitch on a snare can be quite cool i think.

if he had trouble automating a pitch knob, how much love do you think LFOs are gonna give him? :p
