I was so gitty with excitment.
Anyways.....
Its not hate. It's teasing, patronizing, condescending but not hating. And its perfectly acceptable behaviour on an internet forum. And soooo many times its not intended (I'd like to think so) but people take it that way anyway...emoticons and acronyms can not replace cadence, intonation (sp?) and facial expression.
But it's easy not to misinterpret a post with the words pricks/s/inconsiderate know it alls....

I hope your not angry anymore. Maybe that thread helped you to vent a little.
I have awesome homemade ice cream. If we ever meet, I'll make you some...it really reminds one about life's simple pleasures....like seeing the bright side of things.

what flavour? i was watching iron chef last night and the theme was lobster... and one of the guys made lobster ice creamn.. crazy |

strawberry chocolate....it is AWESOME. (doesn't everything taste better when you make it yourself)
It was my first time...I'm gonna experiment with different flavours later. Im thinking something like honey/nut falvour.

yellow1 is referring to his thread talking about the Carl Cox incident -- the thread we're in now is basically his rant against all those smart ass replies since that piece of info was old news to us "internets veterans". (yea, i said internets)
Being devoid of physical proximity means there is little barometer to predict the emotional reaction to what is being posted. In person, you could say something as a joke and nearly instantly realize when someone didn't take it as such and tone it down. However, online, teasing/patronizing affects ppl differently - with some going nuts and trigger happy on the reply key ready to fight back. Others, over time, learn to limit what they say to adjust for this -- while some see it's very absence as the green light to go ahead with WHATEVER rant/spiel/bitching they feel is necessary to get some off their chest assuming an audience awaits them.
