Work practice problems. Never study for chemistry by 'looking over notes'. That doesn't work.

Work one of each type of problem in the book. Then work more of the ones that you had difficulty with.

This applies to math, economics and accounting, as well. Excellent strategy.

Thanks dude. Sadly all that work barely prepared me for an exam today. I'm hopeful I'll pull through regardless but , chemistry is a bitch.

Yeah, no problem, man. Believe me understanding Chemistry can be vital especially if you're planning to go into the natural sciences. The one thing most education systems lose sight of these days is the application of what you're learning. Plug and chug problems can sometimes be ok, but you're really blind to why to you're using it.

IMO, Chemistry can be a reasonable subject especially, when it's inorganic. When it becomes Organic Chemistry, then it's a whole different ballgame. From my experience, Biology is the worst of the sciences (Sadly, it's my major). All classes demand rote memorization. Kind of pointless if you ask me...

Looks like I failed a required course.

It's best if you eat the notes after you study them. So the equations aren't only in your brain, they are in your blood.
