Why is the village so brutal?

Each and every time, I barely make it out alive.

bc if it had decided to hurt, i think it would have been likley the worst hurt id ever would have experienced in my life :p

(thank god im immune to beer hangovers, and somehow all the shots i did (dont remember a single one though!) didnt make me pay either :))

I was walking out to leave around 3ish and there were 4 guys in the mix. They spilled over the newspaper boxes, knocking them out onto King Street, oicked themselves up and started fighting in traffic. One guy took a swing-kick to the face as he was getting up, flew back and hithis head on the curb. I stepped in and, fearing someone would get killed by a car, broke up the scrap. Now I'm standing in between 4 guys who still want to fight and they're calling each other out. Jeff (the Bar manager) and Vince (Bouncer) come out and we're cooling things off.

Sent in thier seperate directions, they start calling out again and soon enough are scrapping at the side door of the hostel. Once again, they end up rolling in the street, only this time it's Spadina. I'm sure you're all aware of the traffic on Spadina at 3am.

I pull this guy off the guy who took the kick to the face, and it's cooling off again. I tell them to go home and, upon turning around to walk away, get jumped from behind and sucker-punched in the sidde of the face. Before I cn get up, Vince has pulled the guy off me. One of the guys e was originally fighting with saw this and started screaming about the cheap hit - AND CHASED HIM UP THE STREET! Across all lanes of traffic, between two streetcars and now a block North start going at it on the sidewalk at Adelaide and Spadina. They stand up, buddy starts running again and they guy chases him back across Spadina and off into the darkness...

Meanwhile, these two other guys are at it again (the same guy who I stopped from getting pummelled TWICE, buddy kept getting in dude's face) and they are no longer outside my place of business, and it's 1 on 1. How did it go? Let me tell you, if a stranger gets between you and two ass kickings in 10 minutes, best bet is to go home. He learned a valuable lesson. He got owned.

Then I had a beer.:)

Side Note:

On my way to GVB on Saturday to set up, I was telling the story to my friend and all of a sudden this guy starts getting beat down by 5 guys, just East of GVB...the condo security guys were just watching it happen outside their buildings.
