How do you make effects in ableton?
Like there's this effect PVD used alot in his Global Gathering 2007 set. How do you assign this effect (or maybe its multiple effects) to a knob on a midi? Thanks

i hate manuals:whip: :tongue3

I hate people who don't read manuals and can't even figure something this simple out sans manual.

the sad thing is you really dont need to read the manual...as a rule i hate manuals but i learned all the basics just by messing around with it...its actually a pretty intutive program.

i knew i would get these witty read the manual comments so thats why i put that last line in.
the thing is... i know how to assign effects to MIDI knobs

im asking how to make ur own effect (like a combination of 2 effects in 1) and assign it to a knob.

PvD uses this effect in ableton that isnt one of the presets. i want to know how to do this

Just assign two effects to one knob.

Or make racks.

if you have live 6 you can assign more controls non-exclusively. the other thing is you can chain your own effects using the Racks as someone else already mentioned. you can even make your effect presets and save them as seperate presets using the "save" button in the corner.

all of this...is in...the manual. :)
