| i had a really great time. it was nice getting see the familiar faces (rob, myra, tony, nate, rubin, and i guess i'll put sylvia on that list too :) ), and some new ones. i was really impressed with Wax. it has a really good feel to it although i probably would have never found it if i didn't see everyone else. i thought everyone played well. i'd definitely like to go back there, maybe a TA holiday party towards the end of the year :p |

| Sounds like a blast, was saving up my energy for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend though. I have yet to catch Myra live :( |

| had a great time saturday. sick sets from everyone, especially myra. thoroughly impressed. i don't know why people don't come out to wax more often, it's a chill spot and the drinks are cheap. |

| I think people just haven't heard about it. But, I think the main problem is, it's hard to find. I mean, it's not apparent - i.e. you aren't going to accidentally stumble into Wax in a drunken stupor. The space is nice, for sure. Hope to see it progress. |

its like lavalounge...without the sign. and i like that place as well... and it has great music nights...
wax would be good if it was packed in there! and..advertising would help?? |

agreed. you could always say "down the street from crobar" though. i thought there was a decent showup bearing in mind that benny benassi was two blocks down the road. |

Glad that a lot of you like Wax. Been spreading the word about Wax to a few hundred people more each show and meanwhile pressing them constantly about actually getting a sign, advertising budget and a website, though this past Saturday we did also only had a few days to set up the entire thing so it was a great night of hanging out with a lot of friends, whereas this week there will be that again as well as more randoms there since it was booked a while ago. The new lighting is great but yeah, I usually have about 5 calls a show from people who drove there and gave up because they couldn't find the place. Already discussed with a few people (I know I need to still email you all), but if anyone wants to get involved with the project there, please don't hesitate to contact me, as Mark & I have kind of been left to spread the word by ourselves and while our Friday night's have been the most successful parties there in spite of that, we really want to make it a community spot and get as many local DJs and people interested in the scene involved as possible. Starting to get some more frequent dates and will have a lot more guest DJs spinning in the near future!
Oh and yeah, Crobar was really accomidating afterwards, eh Nico? :stongue: LOL, gotta go back outside and gather up $150 cash at 3:30 am and then get back in line again. |

wax is a great spot. i haven't been there since it was jet vodka lounge. many aspects about it improved, for example the lighting, and equipment's much better in there now too. a sign would definitely help a lot. it has a ton of potential as a place for music lovers.
great seeing all the ta's again!! |

crobar was a madhouse by 11pm and already at capacity. i knew benny drew, not that much though, good to see, i wish them the best of luck.
best of luck to you guys at wax as well, it is hard to promote without an advertising budget (or sign).
i knew jet was going downhill the night i went in there, couldn't get a drink for 20 minutes, then wanted to buy a bottle, but whatever tables they had were occupied by people drinking beer (in a vodka lounge). i was pretty certain at that point that jet didn't want to make money. oh, and their door guy was a douche. you're the door guy for jet, get over yourself, its not all that, i'm not impressed you work for a club (a sub-par one, at best)
thx, i had to let out my disgust for jet. |

We're doing it again this Saturday ;)
As Haider was saying it used to be Jet Vodka Lounge, just became Wax this Summer.
Oh & for the record, the promoters at Crobar definitely did a tremendous job, just the usual other stuff :) |
