I booked a condo in South Beach and purchased Ultra tickets (which I may end up selling if there are no good artist). I still need to purchase plane tickets. I know they went up about 150 since the WMC dates were announced by someone told me it goes back down in January. I guess we'll see.

Ideally I'd like to fly out Tuesday night on a red eye flight, check in Wednesday and come back Sunday night.

do not buy a house unless it is an auctioned reo home.

although you see listings that say "below market value -- motivated sellers!" making it very tempting, know that they will fall another 10% over the next year or so.

The realtors should put "below obscenely over-inflated and unsustainable market value -- motivated sellers throwing in 3% of the fake value towards closing!!"

instead use your money for ibiza 2008: villa edition ;p

you can go to hotel parties, pool parties that are free, etc. and usually there is one all age event that is great. But other than that and ultra not much.

You could try and convince the bouncers being that you are almost of age.

...not to keep going off-topic, but...

i disagree, if he's buying a home for the long-term. if you are in a position right now where you can afford a home, do it. don't wait. trying to time the market for the right time to buy a home (especially if you're in it for the long-run) can have you waiting and stressing for years. why put yourself through that when you can afford to buy a home right now? decade after decade, prices have always been higher, and will continue to go that way unless our country suffers a catastrophic disaster (in that case, we'd all be ed).

i may have bought my house at an inflated price in 2004, but that will be irrelevant in many years. buying a home that is your primary residence will always be the best investment you can make. you don't lose thousands after thousands to rent, you get awesome tax breaks, etc. more power to you if you can afford a home right now.

but yes, anyone who tries to time the market to flip houses after months/years is downright silly.
