Real kosher pickles like RJ described I like, but with a smoked meat sandwitch, or accompaniment to a main dish.
For pickles that I eat uncontrolably out of the jar, are Czech and REAL polish pickles. I do not mean the Bick's or Vlasic or any other north american brand because those taste rediculously sour and sacrifice taste for crunchiness. I'm talking about real "Made in Poland" pickles you get from a Polskie Sklep (Polish Deli) or any other slavic deli. Those are milder, sweeter, and loaded with herbs and PACKED with real dill. The best sliced on hamburgers too. |

| Pickels are goooood, but what I think are slightly better (my cousin in the Uk got me into them whilst eating a ham sandwhich) are picked onions, baby ones. They are so gooooooooooooooood. |

When I lived in Ottawa we would always go to this 24 hour restaurant after clubbing, and I would always order pickles :D
RJ - you are really educated about the "national" days - aren't you?? |

That's the thing, for me you CANNOT be on anything. A pickle I eat MUST be eaten alone or in accompaniment with something. I can't have it 'on' the food...it must be separate. lol |
