okay, first off let me say im not a networking noob. ive done this for years and have always had my computer and game systems hooked into my router.
but ever since i got my 360 on saturday if its not .100 on my router, itll disconnect from xbox live every 10 minutes or so. but for some reason if my computer is not .100 things like torrents and wont be connectable so i need those to be.
got the linksys befsr41 router, the same one everyone has. and the only two things on my router are my computer and xbox360 atm.
anyone have any freakin clue? are there some xbox live ports to forward that i just have no clue about???? cuz ive searched online already and cant find . :(
please help! |

i know nothing about Xboxs, but that would be my (useless) guess. perhaps you could configure ports on your PC to use other ones for your leeching? |

strange thing is i have the same ports forwarded for .100 as i do for .101 so i dunno im unconnectable when my computer is .101 instead of .100
basically only .100 is working for me for anything. which is really ing gay. :(

i wondering if maybe it has something to do with not having DMZ enabled. i dunno.
the xboxlive website is so ing unhelpful too.
thanks for the help though. |

| yeah, im really not too good at the whole router/port forwarding. never seems to work perfectly. but i am surprised to see a static, genereic 192.168 style port system. but like i said, i don't know very much. |

im usually pretty good with it, but for some reason its not working with the 360, even though it worked fine with the original xbox. just doesnt make any sense to me. |
