I like the concept so far. The supersaw elements are not ludicrously anthem-like, but more minimalistic. The groove is interesting, but there are some things about it that I am not quite use to. For one, the kick seems too clicky and raw for my tastes. I really like the progressions of the piece, and the melodic riffs that morph and change in a very spacy and ethereal way. They stab in and out, proclaiming a vastness unknown. The bassline never changes... which makes for a non-cheesy proggy feel. For the most part, I like this piece.
I can't say that it's my favorite... but the piece doesn't try to be, or force itself into that nitche -- if you catch my drify.
6.8/10 (Good... a long, lonely cartrip would certainly have this included somewhere.) |

i pretty much agree with the previous post, i respect all the percussion work, stabs and hooks are excellent, but the melody is cosonant, and bass never changes, it sounds like you've been working your ass off 10 hours a day for 2 days :)
concept is definatelly present, kick sounds fine to me actually, is that the package i sent ya :) the ron lyner ones :) |
