| Does anyone know if it's better to refill a color ink cartridge or just buy a new one? Where in the city do they refill it? :conf: |

i usually refill mine at Island Ink Jet. Most of them work fine, but i have had a few that don't. They say its because I used the cartridge right until it was bone dry. They never charge me for those ones though. usually 10$ to refill, so its definitely cheaper.
i'm not sure where there is one in TO. I know they have them in Dixie Mall and in Burlington Mall

+1
Island Ink Jet is the best. Like SPitty was saying, if youre's is bone dry, ie. use it until the cartridge can't be filled anymore they usually give it to you for free to try it out.
I know they have one in Square One, but thats probably your best bet. |

If price is a concern, then island inkjet franchise is fine. You can even get them done at the newer Shoppers Drug Marts
However...if you're printing photos for an album you want to keep for years and forever, don't print those with refilled cartridges, the quality is never as nice. But for normal paper colour printing, refilled are just fine. Another note...it's not the same ink as manufacturers no matter what song and dance they give you (nor is it made by the same ink manufacturers making it for Canon, HP, Lexmark, etc). There are dozens of independant quality tests out on the web proving this. |
