These two eresys producers have recently merged their technical/artistic talents and have created an innovative approach behind live mixing; two ableton setups in sync with not two but four ears. A must for those who are mentalist and curious towards both minimal techno and the future.

For those of you unfamiliar with leboucher & kressel, here is some bio txt for ya, hope u dont mind the franglais ;)

Kressel Biography taken from www.eresys.ca
Charles Fortier AKA Kressel, has been inspired by electronic music since the end of the 90s. He then discovered and mastered electronic music production software programs like Rebirth, Reason and Live to express musical feeling electronically. As architecture and design philosophy LESS IS MORE, Charles tries to keep the path of zen with a more minimalist approach on composing beats. A big influence on Charles work is the KOMPAKT record label that covers the entire sound of techno genres. The Montreal electronic music scene is the most inspiring for him and shows how local creativity can be powerful globally.

LeBoucher Biography
Son engouement pour la musique s'est manifesté dès le début des années 80 avec le mouvement New Wave. Il prendra durant quelques années des cours de piano avec un professeur privé. Durant ses études universitaires en Design, il s'intéresse à la basse et en pincera les cordes durant 2 ans. Jusqu'à l'âge de 19 ans, il explore les courants musicaux à la recherche d'originalité. Son intéret fut capté par la musique élèctronique allant de l'ambiant jusqu'à l'industriel "noizy". Quelques années plus tard, il se passionne davantage pour le Drum and bass qui l'impressionne par son style et ses sonorités futuristes. Ayant le tympan un peu irrité et ayant pris de la maturité il retourne vers le minimal techno qui vient d'éclaté grâce au logiciel Live d'Ableton et aussi grâce à Mutek (Festival international de musique élèctronique de Montréal). Ce dernier courant musical l'inspirera pour produire à son tour ses compositions et performances lives. Cette dernière année, il entreprend la production d'un performance en duo avec l'artiste Kressel. Leur nom de duo n'étant pas trouvé, ils paraîtront sous leur nom respectif d'ici 2008 soit "Kressel & LeBoucher". |
