I don't know how many of you guys have seen this drum, but I think edm fans will really appreciate the sound of this one. Apparently these were invented recently after studying various percussion instruments, and it has a really unique melodic sound. And they are very hard to get, you have to go on a waiting list for them to be hand built. Check out these videos:

The first time I've seen this instrument played was by a really cute street performer hippie chick in Buenos Aires. I saw dude play one at Harbourfront this summer. Looks like they're picking up in popularity as a new tax-free source of income.

Though bongo's - or more specifically African drums - don't have the range of sounds as this hang drum, they do make equally beautiful music. The problem is most people don't have a ing clue how to play them the way they can be played.
Nonetheless, that hang drum definitely has a captivating sound.
