the sound quality isn't all that great on the djm500 imo..
there are better mixers out there within the price range. |

The DJM-500 is really old (10 years?), and yes it doesn't sound great.
But to answer your question, yes of course it'll work just fine. The CDJ-1000's don't have any features that require specific mixers. |

| DJM500 is still a pretty good mixer for its age. I would use it if i had it. Now if you had a DJM-800 or DJM-909 with two CDJ's that would be one kick ass setup. :toothless |
