When is the last night (Saturday Crowd... not the "boys only night")
I hear Dec 1st, however when you look at their website it says "last dance" on New Years.
We all know it's horrible demise after Spundae left, however it has been a huge spot in everyone heart that loves EDM in So-Cal for many years.
Is everyone hitting it up one last time? If so When? I was planning on Dec 1st.
Can anyone shed some light? |

Circus Disco and Arena Nightclub to close
Circus Disco, founded in 1974, and the next-door Arena Nightclub, established in 1990, will soon be closing their doors, Los Angeles City Beat reported on Oct. 18. According to Gene La Pietra, the clubs’ founder, the properties are being bought for $62 million. The new owners intend to build a mixed-use housing and retail development, and the clubs themselves will be torn down.
La Pietra told City Beat he opened Circus for gays, blacks, Latinos and others who felt excluded from the straight, white L.A. nightlife scene. Circus and Arena became hugely popular, particularly among gay Latinos with such special nights as Club Macho Man and Caliente.
Many world-renowned DJs got their first big breaks at La Pietra’s clubs, including DJ Irene, who was a homeless drug addict when she first came to Arena, and is now among the top-selling female DJs globally.
The clubs have also had their run-ins with the law. “There were many attempts to close us down,” La Pietra told City Beat. “Hollywood wasn’t ready for a couple thousand blacks and Latinos.” In December 2003, the Drug Enforcement Agency and local police raided Circus and Arena, arrested five people, including two Circus employees, and claimed to have confiscated 10,000 tabs of Ecstasy. La Pietra was not prosecuted.
La Pietra is upbeat about the closing. “It’s nice to know there won’t be someone here to mess it up,” he said. “Thirty million people have come through here. The time has come to start a new adventure.” |

How sad! I had one of the best nights ever there seeing ATB and Armin a few years ago!! Oh, I will miss those tacos so much :-( |
