g15 & the like & software

| I've looked around & found a few mentions of it elsewhere (mostly from people aggravated with the g keys), but haven't found anything useful for using the display on either of the logitech g15s (new or old), aside from with games or other stuff I don't use. I got the newer one recently, since windows threw a fit when I replaced my old mouse (from a set), and thought it would be fun/nice/neat to put the screen to some use in ableton. For what purpose, I don't know. Has anybody successfully done this, or heard of it being done? As much as I like seeing the time or system monitors, I can think of more useful tasks for it to perform. [other keyboards, s/w, etc. is welcome, too]. |

I have the old g15 and i use it for trillian to display im's, its rly nice when you are playing a game or something you dont have to minimize to see the message. you can reply using only the keyboard screen.
I am also interested in how to get the working with ableton or something like that |

Go find the logitec g15 applet developer community, they have a good set of forums and from there you can download a lot of great plug ins for extra things to use your screen for, it might be worth making a request as the guys there know their ...well at least about g15s and can most likely point you in the right direction if not help you develop your own one.
I'm sure that you can really use a g15 for anything useful with Abelton though, I mean there is a lot of information on screen in Abelton and the g15 only has a piss ant little screen which is monochromatic and has the resolution of an ASCII art image. |
