I love firefox. I downloaded it on my com at work - and our nazi IT guy gave me a 20 min lecture about how I shouldn't download anything without consulting him first :wtf:

Tell him to shut his mouth! haha

I do IT for a company, 3 locations, and I have no problem with that program being on our computers.

If he doesn't want people downloading things on their computers then he should limit their access! lol. It would create more problems than good usually though lol.

IE sucks... i have everyone I work with use firefox ... our IT guy lectures people if they don't have it.

I like using Firefox, but I have to use IE on many sites because they are only coded for IE, and not Firefox to work properly. It's not a big deal with other people have it on their computers, I'm not going to preach it though and haven't, because it's true that more websites work perfect with IE than they do with Firefox. I use them in tandem though for different things.

I

Tell that to my company. They block everything. (or try really hard to.)

You should back up your bookmarks.

It's not that difficult to do.

I always keep a copy of my bookmarks attached to an email in Gmail for when I go to a computer thats not mine or something like that.

and reinstall your bookmarks after you delete/uninstall/reinstall fresh browser.

bookmarks.html you can mail yourself to your google/hotmail/yahoo email account as an attachment. to not have them backed up is like driving with almost no gas in your car.

Most of our computers at work have Opera, and they seem to work pretty quickly.
